This clavichord has decorations typical for the Hamburg tradition. It was probably made in Specken?s workshop in Stockholm.

The 8-foot bridge has been broken in several parts which have been reglued with the help of many screws through the bridge. The larger, lowest part of the bridge is now loose and the screws have disappeared. The drawing tries to reconstruct the original positions of the bridge pins.

The lowest 8-foot strings are double-pinned. Otherwise the side bearing angle for these strings should have been very small (as shown in the graph).
